On April 8, IC NET LIMITED Joint Stock Company of Gakken Group – a leading brand in the education field in Japan and KIDDIHUB Vietnam Joint Stock Company officially signed an investment cooperation contract after nearly half a year of exchange of memorandum of cooperation in November 25, 2021.
The investment value has not been disclosed, but the main business activities of Gakken Holdings Group intending to deploy in Vietnam include: Developing and trading the STEAM program for preschool facilities; content and knowledge about education and early childhood education; ICT/LMS systems for preschools, private children’s groups and schools at all levels; Expanding the educational technology platform, disseminating information through the addition of educational content.
In ASEAN, JETRO focuses on three countries, namely Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam to conduct activities to promote business cooperation. Especially in recent years, the Vietnamese startup ecosystem is growing strongly, attracting a lot of attention from Japanese businesses, in particular, the EdTech field (Education combined with Technology) is one of the fields that is receiving a lot of attention in Vietnam.
The education market in Vietnam is expected to grow steadily in the long run, and even JETRO is regularly receiving a demand to investigate and learn about this market from Japanese businesses.
