Code for Change is an innovative non-profit organization that focuses exclusively on creating on & offline coding tools and curriculum for high schools. Code for Change is passionate about long-term solutions and ripple-effect project results. Launched as a youth-focused IT Training non-profit in 2009, it quickly became a leader in accredited out-of-school youth training. In 2015, seeing the potential for scale in high-schools and impact through niche coding training, the organization pivoted to take a thought-leader position in practical coding for teens in under-resourced communities. In 2017 the organization rebranded Code for Change to better reflect the new focus and launched a new world-class coding brand and club network that resonates with teens, CodeJIKA.com, in late 2018. Registered as Change the World Trust, Code for Change has associate organizations in Switzerland, Mozambique and New York.
