What Is The TPACK Model?

TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) model by Mishra, P., and Koehler, M.J. initiates, which is a combination of three key knowledge components of teachers in the current period, including Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) and technological knowledge (TK).

TPACK is considered the basis for analyzing knowledge and essential competencies of teachers, from which there are solutions in the training of pedagogical students to meet the teaching-learning requirements of the 21st century. At the same time, TPACK can be considered a theoretical framework to assess teachers’ technology-integrated teaching capacity. M

According to Mishra, Koehler, and Henriksen, TPACK frames can be applied for pedagogical methods as well as different areas of content and technology. TPACK is a theoretical approach of researchers on the capacity of teachers to use ICT in education. The TPACK framework has also been developed for 21st-century skills and is used as a framework to enhance teachers’ adaptation to 21st-century skills.
